Polish city of Warsaw emerges as a fast growing lingerie hotspot

lingerie_uk_polandLondon, Milan and Paris are considered lingerie Capitals, but another, less likely, European city is giving them all a run for their money, as the Polish city of Warsaw emerges as a fast growing underwear hotspot, with increasingly sexy designs, and a credit-crunch friendly price tag.

Online lingerie retailer, Wickedelic Lingerie is one of the few UK places selling the latest Polish designs, and has seen a massive 500% increase in demand for the Eastern European lingerie over the past year, doubling the number of lines it stocks to try to meet demand.

Wickedelic Lingerie spokesperson, Nik Grant said: “The Polish lingerie we stock combines the coolness of London, the glamour of Milan, and the sexiness of Paris, and its value for money means customers are finding a recession busting way of keeping the spark alive in their relationships.”

Nik continued: “In Poland it gets pretty cold, which provides a perfect excuse for couples to spend long nights in by the fire, so it’s no surprise that their designers are producing gorgeous lingerie to keep the sparks burning bright.”

Cover girl Bar Refaeli to appear in Rampage fall campaign

barraf-rampage Bar RafaeliIconix Brand Group announced a partnership with international supermodel and Sports Illustrated 2009 cover girl, Bar Refaeli to appear in its Rampage brand’s upcoming fall 2009 marketing campaign. Refaeli replaces supermodel, Gisele Bundchen as the new face for the young contemporary brand.

Bar Refaeli commented, “The Rampage line is comfortable and the cuts are very feminine. It always fits perfectly to the curves of a woman’s body – I have curves and I feel really good in it!”

The fall campaign will debut in September issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines such as Elle, Lucky and Cosmopolitan as well as be featured on outdoor advertising and online at fashion and lifestyle websites.

Dari Marder, Chief Marketing Officer, Rampage, commented, “We were looking for a fresh new face to follow our spring campaign with Gisele Bundchen and when we met Bar we instantly fell in love with her. Bar is sweet, young, sexy and beautiful just like our Rampage customer. We look forward to a wonderful partnership.”

The Rampage campaign was shot by famed fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon at an estate in Los Angeles. Refaeli wears Rampage clothing, accessories, intimates and footwear in a variety of set ups from posing seductively in lingerie to a more innocent playful stance in sportswear for the campaign. The campaign was created by the Iconix in-house marketing team.

Rampage is known for offering women clothing and accessories that can take them from day to evening.
